I.A.P.S National Netball Tournament 2007

On Thursday 1st March 2007 a total of 163 IAPS Preparatory Schools competed in 6 regional tournaments around the country. Newland House won all 8 games in the first round of the Under 11 regional competition at High Wycombe. The girls went on to play a round robin against Bute House, Glendower and Maltman’s Green, and finished as Regional Runners up, qualifying as one of 36 schools competing in the National Finals held at Roedean School on Saturday 10th March.
In round 1 of the finals Newland House were unbeaten, scoring 33 goals and conceding only 11. The girls then won the quarter final against Ashdown House, and the semi final against Kings Hawford. Finally, in an exciting climax to a challenging competition, they met Holy Cross in the National Final. After a closely fought first half the girls were triumphant winners with a 5-1 score at full time.
